Gliding Stingrays by Ella Gillespie

Inspired by the stingrays gliding beneath me whilst paddle boarding in the Evans River. The blue and aqua green colours represent the pristine Evans River water, the bright red catches the eye in this painting and represents the stingrays. The white dotted lines represent the paths they take in search of yabbies on the sandflats.

Fireworks by Ella Gillespie

Spring time on the north coast is an explosion of colours, reminding me of Fireworks. The colours of this piece were inspired by the new growth of native flora from the area. The white dot in the centre of the circles represents the beginning of the new season of the trees and plants.
